Motorists are hesitant to embrace electric vehicles (EVs) unless prices are significantly reduced, according to a senior executive at Stellantis, a major car manufacturer. This revelation raises concerns about the government's ambitious goal of phasing out petrol and diesel cars by 2030. The executive, Emanuele Cappellano, stated that there is no natural demand for EVs and that manufacturers are facing financial losses due to regulations that don't align with customer preferences.
