The Artemis II mission, a significant milestone for NASA, aims to test the capsule's systems and prepare for future lunar landings. It will be the first crewed mission for NASA's Space Launch System rocket and Orion crew capsule since an uncrewed test flight in 2022. Additionally, it marks the first trip to space for Hansen and the first lunar flight for astronauts since 1972.
The cold snap has caused a shift in plans, with a 'wet' dress rehearsal initially scheduled for Saturday now postponed to Monday.
